= Gary Haynes Biography =

= The story so far ... =

Born in 1969, Gary has lived in Sutton-In-Ashfield all his life, where he completed his education at Quarrydale Comprehensive School.  Gary became a full time professional entertainer in 2003, following redundancy from the hosiery industry where he had worked since leaving school.

Gary developed an interest in music at an early age and learned to play bass guitar at the age of fifteen; he was soon playing alongside his contemporaries in rock bands, gaining moderate success with ’Victim’ (shown below) and ‘Hellraiser’. However, Gary’s musical influences have always been varied, and he has always harboured a love of Country Music.

In 2000 Gary began performing as a solo artist, converting to six string acoustic guitar, developing a powerful vocal style and building a distinctive stage routine with which he has been entertaining music lovers around the country, from Cumbria to Norfolk and particularly in the Midlands.  To demonstrate his versatility, Gary also performs rock ‘n’ roll, acoustic ballads and his own material (recorded examples of which, can be found on ‘Sunset Sky’ and ‘Coming Home To You’.)
